White Sangria with Grand Marnier and Topo Chico

My White Sangria recipe is made with a sauvignon blanc, mangos, raspberries, blood oranges, and plums. Cold and refreshing, this fruity cocktail is one of my favorite summer thirst quenchers. This white Sangria has just the right amount of fizz from the Topo Chico mineral water and a nice orange kick from the Grand Marnier.

Sangria is traditionally made with red wine. The original Sangria recipes originated in Portugal and Spain. This wine-based fruit punch is made using local fruits and berries and the recipes vary from region to region and from season to season.

Sangria is easy to make punch, perfect for parties. It is also an excellent way to serve less expensive wine that could use a little help. There aren’t many ingredients in Sangria, however, it does require a little preparation. Here are some of the ingredients I use in Sangria. Ingredients

  • 1 750ml Bottle White Wine I used a sauvignon blanc
  • 2 Ounces Grand Marnier Orange Liqueur
  • 2 Ounces Simple Syrup Amount of sweetener varies depending on the wine
  • 1 Mango 1/2-inch dice
  • 1/2 Cup Fresh Raspberries
  • 1 Orange Sliced
  • 1 Lemon Sliced
  • 1 Plum Sliced
  • Sparkling Water I used Topo Chico

Garnish

  • Mint Leaves

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients to a pitcher or carafe and let steep for several hours in the refrigerator
  • Add some of the diced fruit and berries to a glass, pour sangria over the fruit and top off with sparkling water. (ice is optional)
